For the Love of Taking Photographs

I was finally able to have some much needed down time and decided to take Alabaster for a ride to a park that's very secluded and quiet. I wanted to try out the time lapse feature on my Argus, but I also brought Holga along as well! ^_^

Argus was taking in the view and I'm glad I didn't need a cable to keep the exposure open. I'm hoping the picture comes out awesome, this was my second attempt, since the last exposure on the other flim might be a bust. It's cool though. That's the thing about film photography - you'll never truly know what you'll get until you get your photographs back, and that's what makes it more fun!

New Camera, New Adventures Ahead!

So I ordered this awesome Argus 75 off of Etsy.com and I finally got it in the mail!!! I LOVE it!!! It came with the leather case and a portrait lens!!!( the silver lens on top that is removable :D)
I'm excited to start taking pictures with this wonderful little guy!!! The only downfall that makes me a little sad is that I won't be able to take double exposures with this little guy and that I'll have to ask for my metal spools back when I get my film developed. But that's ok!!! My little Argus is adorable and I love him!!! Argus and Holga will get a long well!!!
Now I just need to start going on more adventures to take some pictures with my Argus! But where to start? I might be heading to the desert sometime soon and I could start there and work my way back to the ocean!
I also have to finish my current experiment double exposure film that my BFF Kelsie and I are currently on and when I get those developed I will post about them soon!!!

I can't wait to share all of the results with you guys!!!

A Much Needed Relaxing Weekend

This weekend was a nice one, with a rare solar eclipse that I purposely blinded myself with, played some Magic and Pokemon games with Beans and Sherlock, had a couple of laughs, and finally got a jump start on an experiment with with my friend Kels.
 The photo above was taken with a Jelly Lens that my best friend Kels sent me in a wonderful birthday package a few weeks back. I tried one out and BAM! Got this pretty awesome picture. Well she also sent me some film ( YAY!!!!) so that I can start taking pictures again, but one was already exposed. Our experiment is to take pictures on a roll of film and send them to each other and double expose them. We are gonna try and theme them out  or ever just take pictures of random shit and send them to each other. How this works is that we manually roll our film with out it getting all the way into the canister and then we mail them to one another. We even have a special box that I would like call The Little Film Transportation Device to send it in! ^_^ In the future, I shall take a picture of it and show you guys.
I can't wait to share the results with you guys!!!
