It's been cloudy for the past couple of days and cloudy days make me so sleepy. After being around the sun for forever growing up, normally clouds are a blessing with the hopes of rain to fall from them. But since I moved from the land of the sun, clouds during the summer time are so bumming and there isn't the promise of rain from them either, just cold wind ruining my bikini wearing, beach weather. It is June, after all... and I'm in my winter coat.
Aside from the clouds, I have some good news! I am not only blogging for the Animal Shelter, but I am now officially part of the Mobile Cat Adoption Team, meaning that I now get to stroll around with cats in the stroller and try to get them adopted. I'm moving on up!!! Well today was my first day doing that task, and let me tell you, it's a little nerve-racking. I had a lady get pissed off at me for not letting her pet the cat I was strolling. I don't want to get in trouble ( on my first day no less) and risk having a cat run away because I let someone random pet it. I will be the first to admit, though, I kinda like just blogging and staying hidden behind my computer (because I'm shy), but this strolling with the cats business will probably break me out of my shell a little bit more, at least I hope so anyways. Now I just have to find balance with trying to find work, blogging about the cats and walking with them without it causing me to stress out.
And to relieve that stress from earlier, I got myself a red velvet cupcake. They are one of my favorites and after I returned the cat safely after my hour was up, I felt like treating myself to one. After my friend Kelsie took me to the cupcakery last year for my birthday, I always try to stop in and buy a cupcake because they are so good. I wish I could make cupcakes this good. I also wish I could share the happiness and joy you feel when you take a bite from one of these cupcakes.
Overall, though, today was an okay day and I want to try to have more "okay" days since lately mine have been kind of bleh and full of stress.
How was your day? Better yet, how was your weekend? Let me know in the comment box below, Facebook and Twitter. I would love to hear about it!
